OK, Now this is just plain weird. I just received an email in my inbox titled “Unknown Lifeform In North Carolina”. Apparently a plumber using a snake cam (a camera that goes into a pipe) found what appears to be a slimy, undulating mass of life. This red-brown colored blob is very creepy looking and is absolutely real. When you first watch the video you think “this is BS” then you see the thing move!
It creeped me out at first. In the video that camera moves away from the creature and travels further down the sewer pipe only to discover yet another one of these creatures. Then when you think that’s all, the camera rotates 180 degrees and show yet another blob stuck to the wall of the pipe just at the waterline. This has to be one of the freakiest videos I’ve seen on Youtube. I never knew there were such things in sewer pipes.
Watch the video:
This is “Return of The Blob” kind of stuff. In a sewer pipe! Are your serious? This has got to be a joke right? It looks real enough but nowadays you never know. There are so many how brewed 3D and CGI videos out there it’s hard to tell. The technology is there to make a fake video of some “unknown lifeform” but is this CGI or doies this strange creature really exist?
I mean, why the hell are we still arguing about whether extraterrestrial life exists when we didn’t know that there’s little blob like creatures living in our sewer systems? Seriously… If we are only just discovering this new species, wouldn’t it be absolutely possible and most likely probable that since there is unknown life under our feet and homes, that there might be more above us in the deep reaches of space?
Search for Panspermia on Google, Yahoo, or Bing! I’m not saying the theory of Panspermia is absolute and correct, but it’ll certainly make you think about what else is out there. Also read my article on panspermia titled Panspermia – Origin or Omission it’s a pretty good read.
This new discovery, if that’s what it is, is very weird. It seems that scientist do in fact know what this creature is. I’ve read multiple articles that say it’s a cluster or colony of what’s called tubifex worms sludge worm, sewage worm, or lime snake according to Wikipedia’s Tubifex page:
“Tubifex tubifex, also called the sludge worm, sewage worm, or lime snake, is a species of tubificid segmented worm that inhabits the sediments of lakes and rivers on several continents. T. tubifex probably includes several species, but distinguishing between them is difficult because the reproductive organs, commonly used in species identification, are resorbed after mating, and because the external characteristics of the worm vary with changes in salinity. These worms ingest sediments, selectively digest bacteria, and absorb molecules through the body wall.
The worms can survive with little oxygen by waving hemoglobin rich tail-ends to exploit all available oxygen. They can also survive in areas so heavily polluted with organic matter that almost no other species can endure. By forming a protective cyst and lowering its metabolic rate, T. tubifex can survive drought and food shortage. Encystment may also function in the dispersal of the worm.
Worms living in sewers can enter a home through a drain or toilet. Care should be taken as the worm(s) can transmit a variety of bacterial infections….”
Other articles on the internet describe this undulating blob as form of Bryozoa as described on Wikipedia as:
“…Bryozoans are tiny colonial animals that generally build stony skeletons of calcium carbonate, superficially similar to coral (although some species lack any calcification in the colony and instead have a mucilaginous structure). Members of the Phylum bryozoa are known as “moss animals” or “moss animacules” (which is the literal translation of the Greek term βρυόζωα, “bryózoa”) or as “sea mats”. They generally prefer warm, tropical waters, but are known to occur worldwide. There are about 8,000 living species, with several times that number of fossil forms known…”
Looks like scientists know what this thing is.
But that doesn’t stop people from being freaked about it! What a weird creature.
